Account Manager
Description
Primary Purpose
- To drive &manage& grow the assigned Accounts profitably and develop new customers with big potential.
- To make Molex as customer’s preferred & strategy supplier.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- For the assigned accounts, maintain good service pertinent in order fulfilment.
- Focus on design-in effort. Develop the topics with customers from engineering and purchasing, logistics, and create/find the new opportunities from the topics.
- Identify customer needs, promote the existing molex product family or drive the internal resource to provide appropriate solutions to realize the opportunity.
- Drive and take lead in the design-in activities.
- Deeply study and understand customer’s sales strategy, technology trend, product roadmap, etc. and formulate the appropriate business plan with sales strategy.
- Gather the information of the industry and the competitors, and work with division to kick off new products or new product families to increase the market share.
- Organize and manage regular customer visits as well as the visits from GPMs, BDMs, GAMs or other molex internal teams.
- To manage customer expectations of NPI and ensure product samples, supporting design and product verification activities are delivered to customers in agreed and expected timeframes.
- Provide high quality customer support, consulting services and advice on all technical-related topics concerning Molex products and solutions.
- Assess technical complaints from customers and problem-solving with new connector or solutions to these issues.
- Identify the key persons and develop a network of contacts within the customer organization from Engineering, Project Management, R&D, Procurement, etc. and share details of these contacts with the supervisor or relevant Account Managers.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years relevant engineering (mechanical or electrical) experience at automotive industry.
- Fluent (spoken and written) English and Mandarin.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent team player
- Detailed in problem solving and analysis.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree, or advanced, in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical)
- Understanding of vehicle connection systems and architecture.
- Experience with a major OEM or Tier 1 as an engineer or resident engineer within the automotive/transportation industry.
- Work proactively and self-motivated, with great desire to win.
- Very organized and good follow up and work in order under multi-tasks.
- Solid understanding of automotive connectors, cable assemblies and modules
