Director of Pricing Economics



Molex is looking for a Director of Pricing Economics to work with the Commercial Excellence and Pricing team to build industry leading pricing capabilities. This role will report to our VP-Commercial Excellence & Pricing and will manage a team of commercial excellence analysts and include cross functional support from research and analytics, corporate development, and finance. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for problem solving by utilizing economic thinking and analytics as well as have strong communication skills with the ability to explain complexity in understandable terms.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Engage with business, sales, and finance teams to create pricing models, increase the ability to capture more value from commercial activities, and operationalize pricing strategy
  • Partner closely with business units and sales to understand the markets and value propositions of the products
  • Design frameworks to deliver the appropriate price that enables the mutual benefit between Molex and its customers
  • Implement and measure experiments around pricing activity

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Experience working in an applied economics, analytics, applied finance, product management, or analytics role with customer facing responsibilities
  • Experience with statistics, pricing theory, and financial models
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
