Molex is Currently looking for a Manufacturing Integration Engineer who is interested in becoming part of our team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support of New Product Development:

  •  Support NPD and design center MIE teams with a focus on PR2-PR4 product development activities.
  •  Provides manufacturability feasibility (DFM/DFX) to product development team
  •  Collaborate closely with cross-functional product development teams on product design feasibility with the goal of risk reducing product launch
  •  Validate DFM Product/Process concerns with structured experiments and process development
  •  Working proactively with the design center teams to identify new technology for development for next generation products.
  •  Create CAD 3D models of complex cable / tray assemblies to facilitate an understanding of pin-out configurations, harness routing and/or manufacturing strategies
  •  Participate as needed in PFMEAs and product design reviews to provide process & mfg input.
  •  Development of tooling or fixturing required for technology or process development.
  •  Support of project FOT and product launch / initial builds

The Experience You Will Bring - Requirements / Knowledge:

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering related to the manufacture and assembly of precision electromechanical components.
  • Experience with high speed synchronous, asynchronous, flexible (robotics) assembly systems.
  • 5 years’ experience in project management.
  • Working knowledge of SPC and DOE
  • Experience in tooling cost estimating, quote preparation and project management
  • Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes; molding, stamping, plating and assembly
  • Ability to develop a manufacturing process flow of the entire connector manufacturing process including the manufacturing feasibility assessment summary.
  • Successfully complete all required MIE PDP (Product Development Process) elements for each assigned project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - English
