Operations Leader

Operations Leaders - we have newly created opportunities at our glass manufacturing plant for experienced Operations Managers across the plant. We are interested to hear from managers who lead teams in Maintenance, Process, Production and/or Warehousing disciplines.

Are you results driven with an entrepreneurial flair? Do you want to work somewhere that rewards employee contributions that create value for the company, its customers and communities? At Guardian Glass we constantly strive to transform everything that we do; challenging our thinking, investing in technology and working together to ensure we deliver quality glass products first time to our customers.

It’s an exciting time here at our leading-edge facility in Goole, which is perfectly located for commuting from Leeds, Hull, Doncaster and York. Last year we invested £70 million to transform our Float Glass line and secure the future of the plant for the next 20 years. We are looking for the right people to help us build on our world class manufacturing operation. If your skills match what we are looking for we would love to hear from you.

  • You will also be involved in transformational projects, which will involve you joining multi-functional teams from across the global business.
  • These roles are dynamic and will require the right candidate to have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and potentially work across several different operational areas in the plant.

    The Experience You Will Bring

    • Degree qualified in a science or engineering discipline, or equivalent working experience.
    • Safety leadership that has developed a safe environment and behaviours.
    • Working in fast paced manufacturing, process, distribution, or engineering businesses.
    • Experience of managing teams of shift managers, operators or engineers.
    • Leading teams through significant change and transformation.
    • Contribution minded and can develop strategies and initiatives that lead to effective action.

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Being open to the potential to develop and grow into senior leadership roles.
    • A track record of coaching and developing team members to achieve their potential.
