Description

Molex is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and experienced Finance Manager to support our Optical Solutions Business Unit. This role will report directly to our Director of Finance and will serve as the Finance Business Partner for the Optoelectronics segment, a fast-growing strategic business segment. The Business Partner will be part of the Global Business Unit Leadership team impacting a business that is a market leader in its space. The Segment's core business is involved in the rapidly expanding communications, 5G, data and webscale markets with a significantly expanding product development portfolio. There are new opportunities to grow within these key markets, as well as expand into adjacent markets and there are opportunities for growth in scale and responsibilities in organic growth of portfolio, geography, business scope, as well as further M&A. The scope of the role is highly visible within the business unit and Finance organization, so must be able to work independently and take initiative.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead the Finance function in all aspects of the global business segment, including Operational, Strategic, Investment, M&A, and Product Development. Working closely with the Global Business Segment lead to manage full P&L globally
  • Business segment responsibilities include a large global business with all functional aspects as well as direct responsibility for financial performance and optimization of multiple development and manufacturing centers around the world
  • Lead monthly reporting and annual business planning process for the segment
  • Collaborate across multiple teams globally and respond to various analytical requests from operations, product management, business segments, and senior leadership
  • Work with corporate, BU and segment stakeholders to provide insightful reporting, oversee financial transactions, and improve processes to help the business achieve its financial objectives
  • Collaborate with segment and BU leadership to identify opportunities for profit improvement
  • Regularly monitor and analyze activities, manufacturing costs, operations and forecast data to determine business progress and deliver analytical insights for decision making
  • Analyze capital investment projects and certain organic growth opportunities, shepherd the decision-making process and present large investment requests to BU leadership


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an analytical, finance, accounting, or corporate development role
  • Experience in data analysis; extracting, manipulating, and interpreting data for decision making
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capability (especially Microsoft Excel)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Comfortable working with SAP, Business Warehouse, OneStream, or other EPM applications
  • Strong understanding of key accounting concepts and financial statement analysis
  • FP&A background/modeling experience which includes key driver analysis, economic framing, Business and/or Operations strategies, and innovative approaches to visualization
  • Experience in improving processes and business results
