IT Project Manager



INVISTA is hiring an IT Project Manager in Wichita, KS. This position will lead cross-functional project teams to efficiently implement IT Projects to meet specific business objectives. This position is accountable for project planning, design development, and execution, including creation of schedules, resource / cost estimates, and scopes of work.

We are seeking an individual who can manage complex projects in a timely manner, anticipate and challenge situations, solve problems, proactively remove roadblocks, and make sound recommendations. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Manage multiple projects using an approach that ensures the quality and competitive performance expected by stakeholders
  • Lead a project team consisting of IT, business / capability, and 3rd Parties to ensure all aspects of the project are properly considered.
  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans with focus on scope, design cost, schedule, risk management, configuration, procurement, and implementation,
  • Identify & effectively manage key dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Using problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and independent thinking to overcome challenges
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Communicate project status to various stakeholders within the organization
  • Recognize opportunities for value creation and innovation in the project management work processes
  • Key phases of the project may require weekend and evening hours for project support 
  • Travel 10% as needed

  • Experience managing IT based projects

  • Experience planning, budgeting and scoping projects
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
