Operations Administrative Assistant



Georgia-Pacific is seeking a detail oriented, resourceful, critical thinker for our Operations Administrative Assistant role supporting our Corrugated operations in Circleville OH. This individual will add value by providing support in the areas of Operations, Maintenance, Accounting and Customer Service. If you are a self-directed individual who also enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a transformative team, then this is the job for you.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop and own a Kanban inventory system for all operational supplies and raw materials (excluding linerboard & medium) including inventory management, ordering, and receiving into accounts payable
  • Manage the plant tooling (cutting die and print plate) systems including ordering, improving storage systems, maintaining, and reordering and incorporating into business systems.
  • Lead local IT/system updates
  • Partner with the maintenance department for inventory control and accounts payable
  • Direct oversight of facilities contractors including snow removal, grounds, janitorial, cafeteria and uniform services
  • Participating in the safety, compliance, and internal control efforts for the site including records management
  • Participate and help coordinate hiring events, interviews, and onboarding
  • Oversee new hire orientation and associated paperwork and e-filing
  • Assist employees with HR related questions
  • Implement and monitor programs, projects and initiatives that will benefit our internal and external customers long-term

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Three (3) years of experience or more working as an administrative assistant within a manufacturing/industrial environment OR a two (2) year or more technical degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate Degree or higher in a business or a technical field
  • Experience with on-line purchasing, receiving, work order, business and inventory systems 
  • Experience working in a union environment
