Georgia-Pacific has an exciting opportunity in a home-based role! We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist supporting our Corrugated facilities in a COVID subject matter expert role and in operations and HR duties. Flexibility in scheduling is needed to support the plant locations assigned in Pacific, Mountain or Central time zones. This is a 100% remote role with a less than 10% travel expectation.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Responsible for high volume positive sites with complex state or county guidelines and high employee headcount “tier two sites”
  • Monitoring state and county guidelines for sites within scope and update COVID matrix
  • Partnering with Operations leaders to provide timely communication of any changes to current leaves
  • Reporting to local health departments when required
  • Responsible for any state and county required employee notifications
  • Updating Corrugated Covid Business Report
  • Entering COVID pay cases
  • Building and improving processes that are repeatable across plants allowing for remote support
  • Other HR related duties including but not limited to onboarding support, LOA support, reporting, and coverage for other HR Generalist time off. 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in human resources, administrative support, or project management/coordination role
  • Experience with COVID Management

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of experience in a human resources, administrative support, or project management/coordination role
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with California guidelines for hourly employees is a plus

For this role, we anticipate paying $ $65,000 - $ $80,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
