INVISTA is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Project Innovation Engineer to help us transform the way we execute projects/engineering, improve project execution, and operating performance. Successful candidates need a strong passion to advance in this space and have the ability and drive to get things done.

This role has a blended office/remote working model.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Own the suite of engineering and project management tools used by the projects organization:

  • Determine which tools provide the organization with the ability to transform the way we do projects and support transformation of ongoing operation
  • Own the business case, implementation, usage, and management of these tools
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders such as Operations, Engineering, Project Controls, Construction, IT, Procurement to create the most value from these tools during project execution and ongoing operation
  • Bring forward opportunities to transform work processes using latest technology.
  • Develop relationships with key strategic suppliers (internally and externally) to fully capture real value from the tools and identify new tools or new uses for existing tools
  • Plan and lead development programs to improve engineering systems and tool sets
  • Use economic thinking and taking ideas to executable plans
  • Be a strong advocate for Innovation and change

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • IT, engineering, or related technical/project management degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Design/external companies utilizing 3D & intelligent design tools
  • Able to travel up to 25%

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working knowledge of typical project workflows and how design information is collected, used, and shared
  • Experience in some of the typical tools used in Engineering, Project Management (Smart Plant; 3D design tools; Converting and using 3D models, Document Management; etc.)
  • IT experience with implementing and driving change in similar tools
