Test Engineer (m/f/d) Environmental Simulation and Mechanic Testing

 

Description

Due to the increasing growth of our company we are currently looking for a Test Engineer (m/f/d) for our local development and production center in Bochum. As a Test Engineer you will be a key member of our local ISO 17025 accredited test lab, driving product validation projects and performing complex product testing with a focus on environmental simulation testing and mechanics using our test equipment. We are looking for talent that shares our passion for developing new and innovative solutions for the market to solve our customers' complex challenges, coupled with strong technical expertise and business acumen. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Developing and defining complex test plans and strategies with a focus on environmental simulation testing as well as mechanical testing during the product development process and mass production
  • Planning and execution of test sequences using our measurement and test equipment (climatic chambers, vibration tables, tensile / compression machines, solar simulation chambers, acoustic measurements...)
  • Preparation of detailed and meaningful test reports for product validation purposes as well as the presentation of the results within the different departments for the continuous improvement of our product during the life cycle
  • Consulting and support of national and international customers
  • Analysis of existing and future environmental simulation standards (e.g. IEC 60068-2-x) and how to apply in our test environment

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s with a technical focus (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering,...)
  • First practical experience in the field of environmental simulation and mechanical testing is an advantage
  • Understanding of test standards within different product technologies as well as the ability to operate complex test instruments
  • Very good communication skills and enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams, partners and customers
  • Enjoyment of manual tasks
  • Fluent German as well as good English skills (especially written)
  • Valid driver's license
