Koch Specialty Plant Services is seeking a Material Coordinator to join our Georgia Pacific Brunswick, GA containerboard facility. The Material Coordinator will coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. What You Will Do In Your Role

· Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Operation, Procurement, Engineering, and Maintenance Planners

· Review production schedules and related information and confer with project managers to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material

· Work with Storeroom Manager to ensure parts are committed and purchase requisitions are sent to procurement for timely issuance of purchase orders

· Work with procurement to ensure purchase orders are issued for parts to be onsite to meet scheduled work order dates

· Examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications and arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules

· Ensure repairable items are tagged and returned/picked up by storeroom personnel to be sent to the appropriate inhouse or off-site repair shop

· Work with Outage Planners to coordinate part kitting and delivery of parts for outages and shutdowns

· Coordinate with Storeroom Manager, Operations, and Maintenance on Slow Moving and Obsolescence material reviews, and Off-Book Inventory reviews of drop sites

· Compile and maintain manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials

· Move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment

· Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards

· Motivate teams to meet or exceed expectations utilizing exceptional interpersonal skills

· Use and leverage technology effectively

· Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

· Be flexible and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Employ strategic thinking and organizational skills

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    · High School Diploma or GED

    · One (1) or more years of experience in a manufacturing or military environment

    · Experience in Microsoft Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence) 

      · Knowledge in parts procurement, kitting, and asset suite

        What Will Put You Ahead

        · Three (3) or more years of experience in manufacturing environment

        · Material coordination experience 

          · Experience in pulp and paper industry
