Transfers Coordinator 

Our Molex facility in Phoenix, AZ is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Transfers Coordinator position. The Transfer Coordinator position is a manufacturing position with the primary responsibility of fully executing transfers from Polymicro and Fiberguide to Molex Nogales including keeping control of production numbers and quality metrics.

Fiberguide, a Molex company, is a dynamic and growing company who specializes in customized multimode fiber optics and assemblies.

 What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead transfer projects, including the coordination of team activities, facilitating group meetings, compiling summary documentation and reporting project status to management
  • Interface with customers and the Sales department where appropriate to support assigned transfer projects
  • Support validation efforts in Nogales for medical products using the process detailed in Polymicro’s quality management system
  • Provide Nogales with all the needed information to set up components and finished goods in SAP
  • Provide all the needed information to Nogales purchasing so they can set up their vendors in SAP
  • Provide all the required information to Customs including components, operating supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate movement of equipment, components and operating supplies between facilities
  • Share process and equipment operating procedures.
  • Coordinate the different departments to provide information and support as needed
  • Work with the manufacturing and quality engineers on the 3 different locations to troubleshoot production and quality issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of assigned transfer projects.
  • Keep and communicate production and quality metrics, customer complaints and corrective actions for at least 6 months after the transfer
  • Follow company policy and procedures to communicate changes.
  • Assist with or lead future transfer projects with other facilities. Possible locations could be facilities in Thailand, China, and Eastern Europe among others
  • Travel to Nogales frequently
  • Understand, support and contribute to current Market Based Management and the Guiding Principles, Six Sigma, FDA requirements, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Two (2) years or more in product/program development
  • Spanish speaking, reading, and writing capability
  • Ability to travel frequently (25% of the time) Nogales, Mexico

What Will Put You Ahead

  • ERP system experience – SAP, Oracle, IQMS, or like system
