Divisional Reliability Engineer – Lube, Hydraulics and Air

Georgia Pacific Wood Products Division has an opening for a  Divisional Reliability Engineer – Lube, Hydraulics and Air . This Engineer will utilize leadership, will be the subject matter expertise (SME) in hydraulics and lubrication, and the ability to collaborate, to help plan and coach improvements in these areas within the Discrete Manufacturing Group. This key position provides the opportunity to leverage resources, innovate technologies and continuous improvement programs to strategically position the facilities for growth.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Leading and fostering a safe work environment that values risk identification and personal ownership.
  • Maintaining an Asset Health program aligned with business goals and strategies for sustainable asset health.
  • Effectively coach, while seeking and sharing knowledge with others for learning and employee development
  • Lead area in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Identify opportunities to engage with site locations to advance their Lube, Air and Hydraulic processes, establish control plans and deliver world class performance
  • Actively identifying issues and trends and use new technology tools and systems to create value 
  • Conducting audits on equipment and processes to ensure consistency within the programs and make recommendations of improvements
  • Mentor and ensure KPIs drive overarching goal attainment
  • Advancing a Market Based Management (MBM®) culture
  • Assessments of repair vendors and site visits to review failures and to mentor major mechanical installations.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree 
  • Understanding in developing and implementing a successful lubrication program
  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to read schematics (Hydraulic/Mechanical)
  • Knowledge in filtration 
  • Knowledge of Compressed air systems 
  • Ability to conduct audits
  • RCA Knowledge

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Degreed Engineer with a  Tribology  Lubrication Minor 
    • Certified in lubrication (MLT, MLA, or CLS)
