Engineering Manager

Description

Primary Purpose

Develop and supervise a team of engineers with Automotive connector product development activities as well as modification and extension activities for existing products 

What You Will Do In Your Role

1. Supervise design engineers with all product development phases required to bring connector product concepts into production as defined by Molex product development process 
   
2. Supervise the product development to ensure requirements are aligned with voice of customer 
   
3. Ensure the product drawings in compliance with customer input and Molex drawing standard 
   
4. Ensure compliance to engineering change requests per document control procedures
   
5. Ensure effective Interfacing of engineering team with internal departments (manufacturing, quality, lab, sales and marketing) as well as suppliers and customers, in support of all product development activities
   
6. Ensure adequate development of design validation plan and report documentation 
   
7. Leading product engineers for internal and customer problem solving activities 
   
8. Mentor engineers by providing guidance on proper design selection and analysis techniques 
   
9. Coordinate the project for engineering team by allocating engineering resource review and barriers removing in project
   
10. Talent development for team members with Molex guiding principles and Market Based Management philosophy 
    

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degree 
   
2. 3+ years of leadership experience as design supervisor or manager 
   
3. Design experience of electro/mechanical products 
   
4. Demonstrated English fluency (written and verbal)  
   
5. Mechanical design and manufacturing technologies
   
6. Management experience 
   
7. Problem solving skills
