CNC Machinist

We are looking for a CNC machinist that will provide model shop support for product development in the areas of prototype tooling, fixtures, and proof of concept parts.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Support engineering in the areas of prototype tooling, fixtures, and proof of concept parts.
  • Work from models, drawings and or sketches provided by engineering to fabricate piece parts, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines using CAD CAM
  • Set up and operate general tool room equipment including manual Bridgeport mill holding +/- .002” tolerances, and all related support equipment.
  • Operate all tool room gauging and inspection equipment.
  • Make recommendations for cost reductions and improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Use critical thinking to diagnoses, troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
  • Openly share job knowledge with co-workers and or apprentice trainee’s 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Ability to set up and program vertical CNC Machines
  • Experience manipulating CAD files
  • Ability to read and interpret piece part prints and assembly drawings
  • Ability to setup and operate general tool room equipment
  • Experience sharing knowledge and training others
  • Experience with geometric shop calculations
  • High School Diploma 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ CNC machining experience
  • Experience with die making, mold making or model making
  • Degree in manufacturing or technical related field of study
  • Certification of completion in areas of machine shop, CNC, CAD, or related areas of study
  • Rapid prototype related experience
