What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Create CNC programs for the shop floor for multiple machines in a fast-paced environment 
  • As part of our team, you will work closely with our Design Engineering, Fabrication, and Manufacturing teams to connect the design and material requirements for downstream processes, including material procurement and programs improvements
  • Show a commitment to lifelong learning and developing new skills while demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience with programming multiple types of CNC turret punch press and laser / plasma table 
  • Experience assisting operators with reading and changing existing programs 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 
  • Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, industry standards, processes, and procedures 
  • Flexible and able to work overtime 
  • Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written 
  • Ability to troubleshoot with a hands-on approach, recognizing area for programming improvement and translating the ideas into results through continuous improvement programs 


What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years practical experience in programming CNC machines in an industrial setting; will consider other relevant work 
  • Experience in Lantek or knowledge of creating CNC and Laser programs 
  • 2+ experience with AutoCAD
