We are currently seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop detailed engineering and construction schedules for capital projects. This position can be based at our Orange, TX or Victoria, TX manufacturing sites, or at the Houston, TX Engineering office.

This role has a flexible workday schedule with a blended office/remote working model.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Accountable for development of detailed resource loaded schedules in both Primavera P6 Professional and Microsoft Project, for all phases of a project including front end loading, engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Support multiple projects concurrently, ensuring project objectives are understood and achieved
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Project Managers, Design Discipline Leads, and Construction Managers to support schedule progression through all phases of project.
  • Maintain active interfaces with project management, site operations, and contractors for communications around scheduling progress, commitments, and change management.
  • Ensure that Project Control Standards and associated best practices and tools are utilized
  • Work with a multiple disciplined Project Controls team to develop a single, concise owner’s POV for project status and forecast
  • Expectation to work independently with little to no supervision

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Scheduler supporting Front End Loading, Procurement, Design, & Construction with at least 1+ yrs of that experience at a petrochemical or chemical industries manufacturing site.
  • Experience scheduling multiple small/mid capital projects (<$10MM) with diligence around schedule/cost compliance.
  • Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Project software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite in producing and analyzing custom status and progress trending reports
  • As needed, ability to conduct field walk downs to validate planning and progress
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed (~20%)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Recent plant project experience in a similar role supporting multiple projects.
  • Experience developing and supporting detailed schedules for Unit Outages or Turnarounds
  • Familiar with project cost and schedule benchmarking with IPA and CII
