Global Strategy and Innovation Manager

INVISTA is seeking a Global Strategy & Innovation Manager that will work in our Kennesaw, GA office or from one of our other Koch offices within the United States/Canada. The successful applicant will be interacting with Tier 1’s, OEM’s, and various others customers. This person will be responsible to develop Point-of-view (POV) on applications, markets, and customer needs. This person will own the innovation process working with the business and project leads to develop and advance opportunities. This person will maximize value for our Specialty Industrial Materials fiber business and will help advance our company (MBM) culture. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop new opportunities to support our innovation funnel, with a market backwards approach using commercial sense, market knowledge, and well-defined problem statements.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to design market interactions focused on insight gathering (customer unmet needs, voice of customer).
  • Establish new market contacts to develop a deeper understanding of where INVISTA can create value for the industry.
  • Attend tradeshows/conferences to update intel on emerging trends in new potential application spaces or needs.
  • Drive strategic decision-making with business leaders.
  • Advance our MBM (Innovation) culture throughout our organization.
  • Translate and anticipate downstream customer requirements into actionable tactics/strategies.
  • Lead key innovation project as needed.

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Sciences).
    • Experience in business development (Identifying & evaluating opportunities).
    • Ability in translating/anticipating market opportunities to actionable business strategies.
    • Innovation concepts (Design Thinking, Rapid experimentation, Ideation sessions)
    • Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time primarily North America and some EU/AP.
    • Contribution mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit.

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Industry knowledge in the automotive industry
    • MBA or Master’s degree in Business or Engineering related fields.
    • Experience with Polyamides, Nylon 6,6 chemistry, Textiles, Synthetic Fibers, Fabrics, Loom equipment.
    • Experience advancing/setting up innovation processes.
