Technology Manager - Burners

 

Description

John Zink Hamworthy Combustion is looking to hire a Technology Manager that will co-manage the technology portfolio for the Process Burner and Power markets of Koch Engineered Solutions (KES). You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovative new products, generate robust process design standards, and maintain & update software design tools. This role is located at the John Zink facility in Tulsa, OK. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Initiate collaborations with sales and management team to develop and maintain an innovation portfolio and technology roadmap.
  • Drive an innovation funnel both internally and through customer POV.
  • Analyze technology initiatives against market potential through economic analysis and the Decision-Making Framework (DMF) process, identifying priorities, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage development projects, coordinating R&D, process, and test center resources as needed to meet project milestones.
  • Assist commercial, design, and execution teams in the commercialization of new technologies ensuring knowledge, documentation, tools, and training are available for successful market release.
  • Utilizing internal process and SME resources, manage the development of process standards to drive global design consistency while identifying, preserving, and protecting intellectual property.
  • Identify process engineering tool development needs and coordinate updates and training. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of engineering work experience in combustion equipment design
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems
  • Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering field
  • Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE at customer job sites
