The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst is primarily responsible for implementing supply chain solutions that improve complex logistics problems for a variety of customers and plants. This position will rely on analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, and improve supply chain operations and downstream processes for the Georgia-Pacific Corrugated business. This position will support external facing customer supply chains as well as internal supply chains within the network and will work on multiple projects at the same time, requiring focus on complex manufacturing, high volume, fast paced operations, and supply chain flow constraints.

Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team and interact with multiple levels and functions with the supply chain organization.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Interacts with customers, plants and internal groups to collect data and understand the ‘voice of the customer’, facility’s needs, and business needs to identify opportunities, developing solutions that will improve E2E (end to end) supply chain operations and performance.
  • Identifies and determines cost savings and value opportunities when developing solutions, and monitors costs saving/value creation across the supply chain network.
  • Proactively manage customer accounts to provide expected level of service related to order fulfillment and on time delivery. Work to understand, maintain or improve internal and customer metrics and develop process improvements to advance current practices.
  • Use timely, cost-effective, and strategic negotiation techniques to manage expectations and communication to involved/affected parties on service issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between manufacturing, sales, customer service, transportation, and planning.
  • Willing to travel as necessary (20%)

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain management or equivalent (logistics, planning, transportation, operations/manufacturing, or industrial engineering)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Strong background in project management identifying and implementing solutions
  • Six Sigma/Lean Production Environment
  • Experience working in a high-volume complex manufacturing environment
  • Experience within the Packaging & Cellulose Industry
  • Experience with Manufacturing Operations and/or Transportation
  • Preferred experience creating dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with large data sets to yield information that supports supply chain business needs
