Description

John Zink Company, LLC is looking for a Combustion Survey Services, Inspector and fired to join our team in Tulsa, OK! 

 The John Zink Combustion Survey Group is seeking an inspector that will act as a trusted advisor to our customers and provide technical reports advising our customers on equipment and operating conditions. Customers include refineries, petrochemical plants, Gas plants.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Regularly visit plant sites to inspect equipment and make recommendations
  • Compile field findings and photos into report format
  • Build/maintain plant relationships
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Educate our customers on safe practices, preventative maintenance and provide operational guidance which in turn leads to the discovery of opportunities
  • Company cell phone to respond to customer in a timely manner
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of equivalent work experience in combustion industry (refining / petrochemical)
  • Previous experience working with process burner, flares, thermal oxidizers, process heater operations, boilers and duct burners
  • Knowledge of controls and ignition systems
  • Previous experience in customer service in a related field
  • Ability to troubleshoot 
  • Experience working in an HPI/CPI facility
  • Have or ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience troubleshooting, operating, or commissioning process burners, process heaters, flares and/or T.O's
  • Refinery & Chemical background a plus.
  • Technical degree from an accredited college / vocational school (i.e. mechanical, welding)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Climb ladders and stairs from 4’- 300’
  • Ability to work in confined spaces 
  • Must pass respirator fit test; required to fit snuggly and appropriately on face
