Embedded Software Developer - Team lead

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Mentoring and inspiring a team of embedded developers with varying levels of experience.
  • Ensuring team commitments to schedule, scope, and quality are met by managing the overall plan and day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Maintaining best practices during embedded software development through proper architecture, code reviews and mentoring of team members.
  • Collaborating with other team-leads on multiple active designs.
  • Bringing up new hardware designs, porting to new operating systems, troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Practicing entrepreneurial, customer focused, innovative, and forward-looking culture.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • A leader with strong knowledge in Agile software development, strong believer in the power of the team.
  • Highly proficient in real-time programming languages such as C/C++. Experience with other language such as Python are nice to have.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems such as: QNX, Azure RTOS/ThreadX, FreeRTOS, VxWorks.
  • Knowledge of Linux, bare metal.
  • Experience with software build, source control, and software release process.
  • Strong test and debug skills related to embedded design.
  • Experience with design and testing of power supplies, microcontrollers, and interface circuitry. Understanding of schematics and hardware is preferred.
  • Excellent big picture and abstract thinking skills, with an open and innovative mindset.
  • Deep knowledge and vast experience with design patterns, methodologies, and best practices (modularity, portability, scalability).
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring, coaching and developing a technical team.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experienced in integrating 3rd party software within complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
