Product Manager, IO solutions


The IO product manager will be responsible for P&L of IO product lines and driving the growth according to Koch/Molex targets. She/he will make product strategy and cooperate with stakeholders of different functional team to make that happen.

What You Will Do In Your Role


Responsible for product strategies and profitability for selected product families in the core products group. Directly responsible for developing and driving new products and business pipeline globally. This includes:

§ Developing product road maps and leading the development of those products

§ Developing and executing marketing strategies and promotion of product families

§ Customer engagement planning and customer visit as required for product presentation


Works closely with Operations, Demand Planner team to optimize MFG cost, lead time, capacity…etc


Works closely with sales, BDM to promote standard products and grow pipeline


Identifies product trends and technologies; Justifies investments in new products and technologies


Owner of economic study and validation of new business opportunities to ensure business pipeline meets profit growth targets


Responsible for meeting both revenue and profit targets for product families


Team building and management


§ This person will be accountable for the following numeric metric:

v Revenue

v R&D expense & Capex

v Pocket Margin

v Number of New Products

v Portfolio of Product Lines

v Opportunity Pipeline value

§ Breadth of accountability:

v Global accountability for assigned standard and solution products

§ The job is tactical as well as strategic. Routinely establishing pricing and responding to technical requests while strategically evaluating new product opportunities and markets

The Experience You Will Bring




§ Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical area of study


§ Advanced degree – MBA, Advanced Technical degree – Engineering (electronics, mechanical, etc.)



§ 4+ years experience in product management in connector industry preferably USB Type-C

§ Total 10+ years combined experience in relevant areas such as product management, business development, technical sales, FEA or product design with direct exposure to manufacturing of electro-mechanics at OEM or sub-assembly level


§ People management



§ Fluent in English, both written and Verbal.

§ Proven track record in leading product teams in developing new product lines, bringing them to market and realizing the target profit levels.

§ Abilities to formulate and execute Go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of existing and new products targeting at different industries as well as distributors to generate profitable business pipelines.

§ Strong technical knowledge and ability to identify customers functional requirements and map to Molex design and manufacturing expertise.

§ Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations.

§ Strong presentation skills that show the ability to prepare and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel.

§ Abilities to motivate, facilitate, and lead other people including both her/his own team as well as members of other teams.

§ Strong computer and analytical skills.


§ Ability to travel both internationally and domestically

§ Good command of Mandarin as a plus
