Tooling Technician 3rd Shift


The Tooling Technician will repair and PM molds to ensure quality product and provide expertise and coordination for mold repair/revision projects. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Repair and PM molds and secondary tooling
  • Troubleshoot complex mold problems and help keep production molds in efficient operating condition
  • Assembly and disassembly of all components required in mold repair process
  • Evaluate molds performance in production
  • Set up and operate toolroom equipment, including manual and/or CNC
  • May be responsible for heat treating all steels commonly used in mold manufacturing
  • May be responsible for welding including micro welding
  • Support/communicate with production team, other mold manufacturers/repairers, engineers and leadership team
  • Troubleshoot and assemble manifold system
  • Maintain tools so they stay in correct working order
  • Do minor maintenance on machines in toolroom
  • Support and fabricate parts for miscellaneous project per request
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong industrial maintenance skills
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stand, clime and lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
  • Must be able to work overtime

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Associate degree or Extensive training in tooling
  • Minimum of 3 years fabricating, tooling or mold repair/design
