Advanced Quality Planning Engineer (m/f/d) Automotive


Due to increasing growth opportunities, Molex has identified the need for a Advanced Quality Planning Engineer to join the European organization in Bochum (Germany). As an Advanced Quality Planning Engineer, you will work very closely with the Product Development team and our customers to develop new products and quality plans to manage and reduce project risks to ensure a flawless product launch that meets customers safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements. We want to create professional and long-term partnerships that create high value for our global customers, and to create innovative products to get recognized as preferred partner of choice for future technology.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Drive and develop quality plans for new products and product modifications from component to assembly within our Product Development team to ensure that APQP is used in the development process
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with our customers as a first point of contact for quality topics for new product introductions / launches and act as a voice of the customer in our organization across all functions and suppliers
  • Monitor and guide Product Development team in quality aspects and facilitate the creation of measurement plans and methods, drive the implementation
  • Review and ensure that our customer requirements/documentation are met by using various quality tools
  • Review and approve supplier product specific documentation on new and modified purchased components and work with suppliers to drive audits of their processes to ensure compliance

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree within engineering or a similar education with a technical focus
  • Multiple years of experience as a Quality Engineer (or similar role) within automotive and new-product introductions
  • Strong experience with SMT manufacturing as well as quality related problem-solving tools (8D, 5W, Ishikawa, etc.…)
  • Good sense of urgency, pragmatism, curiosity, sense of emergency as well as strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability and interest to work in an international environment
  • Fluent English and very good in German
