Georgia-Pacific has openings for Production Associates at our mailers facility in Jonestown, PA. We are looking for self-starters with the desire to learn new skills which include troubleshooting equipment and operating equipment to meet production targets. This role creates value by collaboratively working with production team members to ensure that a quality product is produced for our customers in a timely manner. The Production Associate personnel reinforce the long-term goals of the organization by assisting the machine operators and contributing to a team environment.

Position Specific Details and Highlights:

  • Starting wages are $20.00 per hour with shift differentials of $1.00 when you work the night shift.
  • This role offers a $1,000 sign on bonus!
  • Shifts include: Dupont schedule (rotating 24/7 shifts) 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Work only 14 days out of the month, giving you 13 weeks off in the year.

  • Weekends, holidays, and overtime are all possible on your crew shift. Crew placement will be determined upon need at time of hire. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
  • Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals 
  • Operate and/or work around mobile equipment

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Continuous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program
  • This role works rotating 24x7 shifts (12 hours), with a 7-day break in every 28-day period.

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device

Other Considerations/Physical Requirements:

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
