Senior Global Pricing Analyst

Molex is seeking a Senior Global Pricing Analyst to join our team in Lisle, IL and will report to our Manager, Global Pricing/Financial Analytics. This individual will have analytical and data mining experience to provide analysis, support, and drive successful completion of special pricing and finance projects and ongoing process enhancements. We're seeking someone who is very data-driven and possesses strong analytical skills to draw sharp insights and actionable from data. This position will interface with product management, pricing strategy, and business development to help develop new pricing strategies in addition to analyzing transactional data for impactful value for the organization. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Build and optimize data sets, ‘big data’ data pipelines and architectures; assembling large, complex sets of data that meet functional business requirements
  • Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline by analyzing current and historical results of pricing activity and transactional data to identify actionable opportunities, develop ideas, and make recommendations to improve pricing performance
  • Develop relationships with sales management and product management to correctly position product and establish pricing strategies aligning with product/sales strategy. Build trust by proactively providing credible and value-added support
  • Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies to prepare, analyze and report on pricing metrics and communicate results and recommendations for improvements or trends to executive management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
  • Prepare reports for management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 3-years of experience in pricing analysis, finance, or accounting
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Experience with programming languages (ex: SQL, R, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Data visualization tools (ex: Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (graphs, functions, etc.)
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship


What Will Put You Ahead

  • MBA or Advanced degree in Finance or Engineering
  • Experience in a mid to large-size manufacturing organization
  • Experience in database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
  • Experience analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools
  • Experience with Vendavo, Bex, Office Analysis, or SAP
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
