Strategic Marketing Manager

Description

The AME Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting sales, generating new leads to fill the funnel and accelerating the velocity of Molex's sales cycles. The position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and the Division’s to ensure goals and priorities are well communicated and executed synergistically. S/he will serve as a strategic point of entry into the global Marketing organization for the Regional Sales stakeholders by acting as a pro-active business partner as well as key digital Marketing Strategy planer for regional digital programs. The Strategic Marketing Manager AME will develop marketing plans and promotional materials to commercialize and communicate Molex’s products and solutions to our sales forces and regional customer base. S/he will work together with the Regional Directors/Account & Sales Managers plus the Global Molex Strategic Marketing Team to align focus on product ranges and/or solutions applicable for the markets served within AME while leveraging the entire marketing-mix / marketing tools.

The position will be focused on driving consensus and overall strategic Marketing direction with internal stakeholders, while increasing the level of interaction between Marketing and the AME Sales / Customer network. The Regional Marketing Manager AME will provide strategic and executional counsel on all activities related to the area of marketing communications (promotion planning, focused marketing campaigns, new digital Marketing campaigns, paid media, events, public relations, asset development, etc.).


The individual will oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel campaigns to best achieve goals as outlined together with key stakeholders in AME. S/he will also work with a shared global team to exchange knowledge and best practices within each of the four regions in which Molex operates.

This person will plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of strategic marketing programs based on regional focus areas and priorities:

  • Contributes to developing the marketing strategies with the individual Sales Directors within Americas.
  • Coordinates regional campaigns with counterparts in other regions where applicable.
  • Responsible to deliver flawless and effective execution of all Marketing programs and tactics identified in the strategic Marketing plan for Americas.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Oversee the implementation of marketing programs to support the AME regional strategic objectives in achieving the overall business goal, such as supporting regional growth opportunities, launching into new customers, or entering new markets. Ensure alignment with the Molex brand while addressing requirements of regional communications efforts.
  • Set regional strategy and campaign direction by driving consensus among all internal constituencies (includes driving global alignment with campaign strategy). Lead, develop and implement all strategic marketing communications plans and recommendations as well as drive the development and implementation of marketing communications multi-channel programs together with key stakeholders AME.
  • Design and iterate a dedicated Digital Strategy as part of the AME Regional Marketing Plan. Develop an overview about available digital tools and platforms in AME – provide thorough knowledge of the principles of digital behavior, messaging, and marketing through digital tools in B-to-B environment. Utilize a mix/variety of formats and channels available in AME (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.); create relevant messaging, prompting action by the consumer; execute marketing campaigns; stay current on emerging tools and marketing approaches. Educate Sales on marketing tools and capabilities.
  • Develop effective value propositions; responsible for development and ongoing refinement of key messaging to be reflected in all AME regional marketing activities. Responsible for making sure it is designed to serve all regional communications and language needs, etc.
  • Expense planning and prioritization of AME regional Marketing campaigns, in cooperation with the AME Sales teams. Develop and manage program spend based on strategic growth objectives.
  • Manage and collaborate with suppliers and external service providers in controlling expenditures, prioritizing activities, and maintaining brand equity through all tactics and deliverables, while also delivering against a high standard of quality.
  • Define metrics to measure effectiveness of program and provide feedback to Marketing and AME Regional Sales management. Install measurable KPI’s with the focus (internal and external) on measuring all activities against communication objectives.
  • Understand, support, and comply with current Molex policies and practices related business programs. Including but not limited to government regulations, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S), Total Quality Management (TQM), and other Management Systems.
  • Lead author of all strategic Marketing recommendations and plans in Americas based on assessment of all input received from key stakeholders.
  • Primary accountability for all Marketing initiatives made to support priorities of the AME region.
  • Accurate, timely and relevant co-op collateral is consistently delivered that creates value to our customers and Molex and contributes to Molex being recognized as best in class
  • Timely and relevant communication using multiple vehicles leading to sales enablement and win-win outcomes


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or Related
  • 3 + years in B2B Environment
  • Digital strategy experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage creative resources such as advertising agencies and design firms
  • Willingness to travel within AME region
  • Initiative to start new projects, be willing and able to promote new ideas and the conviction to carry projects through to completion.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and written)
  • Maintain working knowledge of global/regional industry and competitive activities to develop effective marketing communications campaigns to prospects and customers


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing Communications
  • Experience supporting multiple regions/countries
  • Electronics Industry Experience
