Guardian’s North America Glass division is currently seeking an individual to fill the new position of Strategic Capacity Planner. This position will be based at the North American Division headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and is a key position reporting directly to the Supply Planning Manager. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Become the subject matter expert in Kinaxis Rapid Response for supply planning consisting of creating and evaluating scenarios for mid-long-term planning to support demand, validating data and planning assumptions, and working with the plant planning teams to ensure the system is accurate
  • Support the facilitation and implementation of the regional S&OP processes for Guardian Industries Glass group in North America
  • Track key metrics for the S&OP team to monitor effectiveness of process decisions
  • Partner with key process partners, specifically plant operations and planning functions, to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the regional S&OP processes and systems
  • Partner with Plant Supply Chain and Operations to understand and verify planning assumptions in Kinaxis Rapid Response and build out an executable long term supply plan to help understand what resources and constraints will be necessary in the future. Identify risks, opportunities, and capacities at each site as well as regionally
  • Partner with Demand Management to proactively balance supply and demand over the planning horizon in Kinaxis Rapid Response
  • Actively monitor key performance indicators at each plant as well as regionally to manage effectiveness of planning process, including production adherence to plan at the S&OP Family level. Lead appropriate actions in response to gaps outside of defined tolerance levels


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Kinaxis Rapid Response system experience, passion for data and analytics but also able to connect with plant operations and planning teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Supply Chain or Operations Management focus preferred; other majors will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • 2-3 years of S&OP and / or supply planning experience preferred
    • APICS CPIM certification preferred
