Associate Manager, Shopper Marketing

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop omni-channel marketing strategies for grocery accounts across eCommerce and Brick & Mortar to help drive business objectives, meet volume targets and build a mutually beneficial partnership with the customer
  • Integrate consumer insights, brand analysis, category understanding, marketplace dynamics, retailer specific tactical playbooks, competitive activity and brand positioning to build and execute 360 shopper marketing plans for base products, innovation, and total GP portfolio to engage and convert shoppers during the moments that matter while delivering on brand objectives
  • Partner closely with Sales Managers to understand retailer specific dynamics and expectations, sales and inventory trends, distribution plans, merchandising strategy and timing, ensuring all marketing activity is in 100% support of retailer specific needs. Serve as the marketing liaison between sales accounts and Brand Building Teams
  • Leverage actionable, data-driven shopper insights that translate into disruptive thinking for our brands and create omni-channel solutions that convert a retailer’s shoppers into brand buyers, drives profitable growth and builds GP’s brands
  • Serve as a thought leader on omni-channel marketing by outlining innovation tests/experiments, influencing retailer conversations around digital media platforms, and advancing digital innovation and the roadmap to improve marketing capabilities and performance that grow the business both in-store and eCommerce
  • Strategically build broad and deep relationships with key omni-channel marketing and merchandising contacts within the retailer partners to help deliver against business and brand objectives
  • Inspire key agency partners from agreed upon briefs across all aspects of program development and execution, ensuring ideas are developed into high impact and cost-effective campaigns
  • Manage marketing investment plan & marketing/merch calendar in partnership with Brand Building, Sales & Customer Strategy team to develop retailer-specific program in synergy with national A&C and account level trade investments
  • Stay up to date on the latest shopper trends, retailer strategies and determine the appropriate approach to continue generating conversions and optimizing return on investment while driving mutual growth for retailers and GP
  • Set clear objectives and KPI’s for each campaign launch to prove impact and measure success aligned with GP’s IDM targets and business objectives
  • Provide quarterly analysis and reporting on campaigns, including performance vs. KPIs, key learnings, and recommendations for future programs
  • Lead invoice & deduction reviews/approval
  • Manage shopper marketing investments within internal systems
  • Manage creative work flows and securing legal reviews/approvals
  • Lead digital asset management audits for Grocery channel


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1 year of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or Sales/Account Management
