Our portfolio of disruptive actuation and motion control solutions is generating significant demand in the marketplace. We are positioning the business to capture existing market share as well as create new market opportunities within the robotics and industrial automation industries. 

We are seeking an energetic Sales Development Representative to support lead generation and inbound sales. As our approach is to develop long-lasting relationships with our customers, it requires the pursuit of win-win relationships based on aligned visions, values, incentives, and a strong foundation of earned trust. You will be play an important role in developing new customer relationships and in working with GRMT team members to coordinate and execute activities in the sales cycle. All while clearly representing the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders and ensuring that GRMT is working to both anticipate and meet customer needs. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Director, Business Development Managers, Sales Support Manager, and Regional Sales Directors 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure on-time completion of proposals and presentations 
  • Identify new potential customers through prospecting via email, LinkedIn, and cold calling 
  • Generate target lists of companies and contacts for outbound sales outreach; profile key individuals to begin the sales cycle
  • Draft and A/B test messaging for target segments based on internal market research 
  • Manage follow-up and qualification of inbound sales leads by coordinating meetings by phone and Microsoft Teams 
  • Determine customer needs, educate them on their options, and work with Applications Engineering to provide solutions 
  • Publish and maintain relevant customer data to Salesforce 
  • Work with other departments to enrich customer relations 
  • Quarterly territory trips to key customers and prospects 
  • Acquire knowledge and training on all existing and future product lines and corresponding target markets 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • At least one years’ experience in a sales or sales support role 
  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Teams, and a major CRM 
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time 

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Technical solutions or engineered-products sales experience 
  • Professional knowledge of the pros and cons of various motion technologies (e.g. electric motors, gearboxes, actuators) 
  • Professional knowledge of robotics or automation systems and their applications 
  • Experience regularly using Salesforce 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
