Shipping Coordinator

Description

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for our gypsum facility located in Camden, NJ. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide customer service to the truck drivers, providing them with the appropriate paperwork and instructing them on where to park their trailers
  • Maintain detailed and accurate data for weekly and/or quarterly reports including metrics, health checks, training, shift handoff notes and work closely with Management on shift schedules
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments, with a strong focus on our safety procedures and quality standards
  • Accurately process shipping paperwork
  • Managing the workload of incoming and outgoing freight
  • Assist loaders with questions
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to include clients, drivers, sales, and employees
  • Manage raw material paperwork and assist with month end inventory counts and reporting

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience manually entering high volume numerical datasets into computer systems at a fast pace
  • Previous clerical experience

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Experience in warehousing, transportation, or inventory control
    • Experience with OneLisa operating system
