DOCUMENT CONTROL IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide implementation support to project managers and engineers
  • Understand the organization of project documentation: updated drawings, data sheets, drawings lists, etc.
  • Understand technical documentation to ensure that it meets client expectations
  • Be able to support drawing correspondence between engineering disciplines, supervisors and material suppliers through the new system
  • Must have intimate knowledge of document control software (BIM 360)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to communicate with the project vendor/consultant
  • Must be able to understand best practices for an effective document control system (naming standards, folders, etc)
  • Manage escalations as it relates to the implementation 

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in an engineering administrative support function/document control
  • Prepare final Databook at the completion of the project
  • Assist project managers in developing and maintaining documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals, and related items
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Have previously worked through an implementation of a new document control system for an engineering company or related industry
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 10 years of previous engineering administrative support experience in a document control capacity
  • Familiar with SharePoint, Simplicity, and other related document control systems
  • Experience working in Autodesk BIM 360
