Global PPAP Coordinator


Molex division is seeking a Global PPAP Coordinator for the Guadalajara Sur, Mexico Location.

Molex LLC is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems. Molex offers over 100,000 products across a variety of industries, including data communications, medical, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics.

We are looking for a talented individual with working background in quality tools and creating processes to help transform our Global PPAP process. You will be a core member of our qualityteam working closely with our manufacturing plants, engineering, sales, systems development teams, regional PPAP coordinators, and customers to transform a Global PPAP process which will be efficient and adds value to customers. This opportunity comes at a great time as Molex is moving into companywide transformation on data management.

·Actively provide PPAP support using today’s process

·Enhance our regional and local processes into one Global PPAP process.

·Deploy the process globally providing training and leadership

·Track and maintain KPI’s for continuous improvements

What You Will Do In Your Role


Ensures that PPAP Process SOPs (standard operating procedures) are harmonized, up to date and meet appropriate standards.Implements changes to SOPs as required per internal audits, corrective actions, etc.Implements changes to PPAP documentation per input from customers and Molex personnel and notifies all parties involved such as manufacturing plants, overseas entities, etc. of any changes

2.Manage regional PPAP Coordinators

Align the Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations of the Regional PPAP Coordinators to transform the PPAP process so that our customer’s needs are met, while efficiently & effectively reducing touch points.

3.Interpret Requests

Gathers information for customers when a request for PPAP is received.PPAP requests may be initiated by a Customer Initial Sample Inspection Report (CISIR), customer online system or other informal means.Supplies a PPAP commitment date if required and returns information per request date.Determines if the request is for non-automotive application or automotive application.If the request is for an automotive application, determines if the request is for a new product, standard/modified product or annual re-certification.May complete Part Submission Warrant (PSW) as needed on level 1 or level 4 family product submissions.

4.Gathering information

Coordinates the gathering of all documents for PPAPs up through approval and then maintains the approved parts list. (PPAP database).


PPAPs submitted from manufacturing plants.Checks that all documents and information are included in the report.Review’s data in the report and checks that data meets standards (set by customer or Molex).

6.Maintains and archives the PPAP database.

Retrieves prior customer submissions and approvals as needed.Prepares and distributes various PPAP system status reports and corrective action reports to management.

7.Support GUAD2 PPAPs requirements.

Coordinate and Support the customer PPAPs requirements for GUAD2

The Experience You Will Bring


    • Bachelor´s degree 
    • 3 years’ working experience with production part approval process (PPAP)
    • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
    • Systems knowledge, preferably part of a PPAP Process Transformation Project
    • Strong supervisor skills that has experience managing a global team (Europe, Asia, NA)
    • Strong organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize, and self-monitor workload
    • Strong follow-up skills to establish and follow procedures to monitor the results of assignments, action items and the status of projects.
    • Strong time management skills to plan and prioritize time and meet deadlines
    • A fundamental understanding of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process such as Gage R&R, control plans, FMEA’s, etc.
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Has ability to influence without authority

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • 5 plus years related experience in the Quality field with automotive customer focus
    • Working knowledge of electronics, testing, molding, stamping and assembly processes

    • Knowledge of Quality Systems ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
