What You Will Do In Your Role

Responsibilities  

  • Review completed drawings for accuracy and compliance with OPD/client specifications. 

  • Maintain high quality of P&ID drawings and reliability of piping systems design. 

  • Print and issue project drawings and ensure all appropriate drawings have been issued per project requirements. 

  • Provide follow-up to ensure all P&ID/PFD drawings have been completed. 

  • Work with project team on daily basis for detailed design.  

 

The P&ID Designer ensures that all drawings are prepared with accuracy, neatness, speed and in accordance with company and client design standards. This person is responsible for finalizing drawings into an organized package and coordinates their work with other engineering disciplines.  

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience preparing design drawings using electronic methods (AutoCAD or similar). 

  • Use of business software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Projects, Outlook PowerPoint) in a business environment. 

  • Ability to work independently; Close supervision not required. 

  • Ability to work with others to desired results or better. 

  • Ability to work within a design team environment. 

  • Ability to be resourceful and flexible in approaches to solving issues. 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • At least 7 years of work experience performing P&ID design drawings using electronic methods (AutoCAD or similar). 

  • Experience using AutoCAD design software (i.e.CADWORX). 

  • Experience using Diagrams by ECE software. 

  • Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. 

  • Experience with Natural Gas customers. 

  • Knowledge of industry standards ASME, ASTM, API, and ISO is not required, but desirable.
