Junior Process Engineer

KOCH-GLITSCH is a global leader in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art mass transfer and mist elimination products for the chemical, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, pharmaceutical, and specialty industries.

Koch-Glitsch offers a complete line of mass transfer products, including high performance and conventional distillation trays; random, severe services (grid), and structured packing in metal or plastic; and tower internals for distillation, absorption, stripping and extraction columns.

Within our corporate office in Vimercate (MB), Koch-Glitsch is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to complement and strengthen our process and technology team.

You will serve as the primary technical contact for customers and manage detailed process studies and proposal for mass transfer equipment. You are self-organized, you have excellent coordination skills and technical capabilities, you are willing to learn, then you might be our ideal candidate.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Hydraulic and fluidodynamic design of mass transfer equipment.
  • Process modeling of distillation columns, absorbers, etc.
  • Technical feasibility studies and economical assessments.
  • Draw up process and technical reports.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals for mass transfer devices.
  • Revamp and energy optimization studies including process, hydraulic and mechanical competence.
  • Troubleshoot assessments of process units and mass transfer equipment.
  • Preparation of main process documents such as H&M balances, datasheets, etc.
  • Meetings with customers for discussion and presentation of projects.
  • Cooperation and coordination with other Koch Engineered Solutions company departments and functions.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
  • Ideally you have a first experience in Oil & Gas.
  • Fluent in English verbal and written, other Language is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of process simulators (e.g. Pro II, HYSYS, Aspen).
  • A solid knowledge at University level of mass transfer unit operations (distillation, separation, etc.), and a strong enthusiasm in dealing with and solving complex problems coupled with passion for the technical role.
  • Working proactively with strong orientation to the results.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivation, determination and aptitude to teamwork complement the candidates’ profile.
