Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC. (KAES) is seeking an Operations Innovation Leader to join the team in Fort Dodge, Iowa.



What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide leadership and acting as a role model to the Shift Leaders to foster employee engagement, innovation, transformation, experimentation, and cultural changes needed to reach best in class operational performance.
  • Champion the MBM philosophy to develop the capability of the operations team.
  • Promote and drive a culture of communication with other Central Plains Nitrogen sites to share knowledge and to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Lead technical and strategic efforts for the operations team regarding daily planning, special projects, outage work, and turn-around work.
  • Develop and maintain operations excellence, process safety, personal safety, environmental compliance, product quality and other applicable areas of compliance
  • Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues. Communicate with maintenance to coordinate needed maintenance troubleshooting and repair work
  • Understand facility compliance limits and ensure operation is maintained within the Operator Envelope. Immediately communicate to management, environmental, and/or government agencies as needed in the event a limit is exceeded 
  • Work with operations leader, shift leaders, and operations trainer to continue the development of the “future operator” as reliability personnel that leverage technology and data to optimize the plants.



Physical Requirements for the Role

  • Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent standing, walking, climbing (stairs & ladders), bending, and sitting.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, hearing protection. safety glasses & goggles, gloves, heeled safety boots, hearing protection, safety harness, positive and negative pressure respirators).
  • Ability to be medically approved to participate in the respiratory protection and HAZWOPER programs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs



The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in chemical plant operations
  • Willing and able to work around hazardous chemicals
  • Knowledge of process safety and PSM
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Able to meet physical requirements for the role



What Will Put You Ahead

  • Operations Supervisory experience in a 24/7 chemical or refining facility
  • Ammonia and UAN manufacturing experience
