Sr. Principal Engineer MSBU

Description

Molex is looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Micro-Solutions Business Unit as our Sr. Principal Engineer based in sunny Fremont, CA. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Collaborates and makes proposals across several teams on their engineering work, and helps team members make informed decisions in alignment with the team vision and strategic plans.
  • Implement state of the art technologies to enhance product features, improve reliability and device size (electronics miniaturization), optimize manufacturing throughput and lower cost.
  • Provides technical support to customers, suppliers and inside personnel.
  • Performs design verification activities to ensure that design meets the specifications and requirements of the customer.
  • Identify applicable emerging technologies to drive new product features and capabilities.
  • Ensure robust system integration to hardware and effective design validation.
  • Looks for innovation opportunities between several teams with a willingness to experiment and to boldly confront problems of large complexity and scope.
  • Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills - cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform in a high paced product development environment.

      What Will Put You Ahead

      • MS in Engineering and/or PE license are a plus, but not required.
      • Minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated experience designing Micro-miniature solutions/products.
