Facilities/Preventive Maintenance

Do you enjoy working in a team environment to meet production and quality goals? Georgia-Pacific is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Facilities/Preventive Maintenance in Leominster, MA, a manufacturer of Dixie cutlery.

The selected candidate will be a member of the maintenance team that is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks such as performing daily inspections, performing preventive maintenance and maintaining and repairing internal and external building. Our Facility Maintenance staff adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. This is a 1st shift position (7am-3pm), but requires some overtime, including holidays and weekends as needed. The pay starts at $18 per hour and up, depending on experience, and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus that is payable upon hire. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Performs daily inspections on air handling units, chiller room and molding machinery
  • Performs preventive maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment such as checking oil levels and filters
  • Works with contractors on project work and issues safe work permits
  • Maintains fire extinguishers and eyewash stations
  • Maintains chiller room and other support room
  • Drives company box truck to drop off and pick up molds
  • Analyzes & troubleshoots basic mechanical failures
  • Perform repairs using job plans that are in place. Reports any changes necessary

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in manufacturing or in facilities
  • Experience using a computer in a work environment
