Do you enjoy working with your hands? Are you dedicated to safety? If so, Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Machine Operator for Machine Operating at our Kansas City, MO corrugated packaging facility! Our Machine Operator Trainee’s work any shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy non-climate controlled industrial environment. Our current openings are on 2nd and 3rd shift.

A bonus of $1,500.00 will be paid out upon completion of pre-employment requirements. 

 Starting wage of $19.48/hr with the opportunity to make up to $26/hr.

Georgia-Pacific in Kansas City, MO is one of the leading corrugated box plants and a part of Georgia-Pacific’s Packaging division. We specialize in the conversion of corrugated sheets into corrugated brown boxes for consumer’s everyday use. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Working throughout the facility in various areas learning to operate production equipment
  • Assisting crew members with set-ups, troubleshooting and making minor machine adjustments
  • Keeping work area clean throughout shifts and performing tasks that may change from day to day or hour to hour
  • Managing job assignments and working with the team to meet quality goals 
  • Conducting required quality checks on products to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Supporting our safe working environment by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE),i.e.; bump hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, hearing protection, steel-toe boots and other PPE required by specific jobs 
  • Performing assigned tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to (12) twelve hours a day

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Six (6) months or more of continuous work experience OR High School Diploma/GED

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Six (6) months or more of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, warehouse environment or military service
  • Experience working in the corrugated industry
  • Experience with preventive or predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Experience operating a motorized forklift or clamp truck
