Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer will plan, coordinate, and execute VA/VE and Continuous Improvement activities and will be responsible for supporting pre-production program support and current model production support relative to the assigned plant to ensure implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Embrace and utilize Market Based Management business practices in decision making.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment, stop any unsafe activities observed.
  • Lead Kaizen/Process improvement events in the plant.
  • Participate in design review meetings for new launches. (Molding/Coating/Assembly)
  • Participate in manufacturing and automation projects, including creating and updating action plans/reports.
  • Schedule and attend meetings to review prints, monitor tool/assembly equipment progress and prototypes.
  • Responsible for understanding and following all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions and requirements applicable to his or her work, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as, all incidents, which present a hazard to people, production, or the environment.
  • Participate in APQP activities as assigned. Create PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, QFD, etc. as required.
  • Interface with customers as required regarding program launch activities to assure the manufacturability of quality parts.
  • Share knowledge between sites on best practices.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Degree OR equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting 
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement in manufacturing
