Georgia Pacific is currently seeking a Regional Designer for our Corrugated Packaging business in the Southeast region. The person in this role will work collaboratively with a team of designers to provide a competitive advantage to the sales organization in the product design space.The ideal candidate will be able to develop design solutions compatible with our current manufacturing capabilities and proactively identify and recommend improvements for key accounts. The position is home-based will report to the Designer Center of Excellence Leader. Approximately 20% travel may be required to go to plants or visit customers.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Supports Regional design requests for Local Accounts across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Independently develops solutions compatible with existing manufacturing capabilities
- Collaborates within the CoE and across the broader Design Community
- Proactively identifies and recommends improvement opportunities for key accounts
- Independently manages project load while providing feedback to CoE Leader on risks and key needs
The Experience You Will Bring
- Corrugated structural design experience
- Direct box plant support experience
- Ability to travel up to 20% some overnight stays required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science related field
