Tulsa, Oklahoma


John Zink continues to grow its Tulsa Manufacturing Facility into a world class operation. We are recognized for safety, environmental excellence, innovation, and customer service. This is a great opportunity for an individual to be part of an operative team and gain experience with a well-established but growing manufacturing facility and test facility. Our state-of-the-art shop is climate controlled, well-lit with safety being the #1 priority.


What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Motivated individual to lead daily inspection efforts internally and externally for the Tulsa location
  • 50% hands-on inspection (working), and 50% mentoring and employee development
  • May include up to 25% travel
  • Strive towards improved safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency processes and practices
  • Work collaboratively with others across the organization to resolve issues and conflicts
  • Establish & sustain production priority in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving methods to eliminate error and defect causations

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and motivation skills to lead different people with different abilities and character traits. 
  • Experience in recent Microsoft Suite programs: Windows, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Word
  • Flexibility with overtime duties or adjusting schedule as required
  • Five (5)+ years’ experience with ASME Section VIII Code inspection, protective coatings, & NDE testing.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • Mechanical aptitude & proficient blueprint reading skills
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Ten (10) years of experience in an industrial environment
  • NACE (AMPP) Coating Inspection Program (CIP) Level 1, 2, or 3
  • Experience with cranes, rigging, and forklift
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement
