Software Engineer - SNOW



The Software Engineer-SNOW will be a part of a global team creating new solutions as well as improving existing solutions for Koch Industries. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. Koch Technology Center (KTC) or Koch Global Services India (KGSI) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. As KTC/KGSI rapidly scales up its operations in India, it’s employees will get opportunities to carve out a career path for themselves within the organization. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the KTC/KGSI over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant global exposure to the employees. Software Engineer will report to ServiceNow Manager of the KTC/KGSI and will be responsible for creating valuable solutions in the ServiceNow platform for KBS and the customers. Software Engineer is expected to provide an end-to-end delivery of new application modules as well as serve customer requests in ServiceNow platform. Software Engineer shall also identify any system deficiencies and leverage modern technologies to offer innovative and efficient solutions. Software Engineer shall be responsible for providing customers with means to solve their needs without the need to engage another party. Software Engineer will be expected to treat customer needs as a shared responsibility, rather than individual requests and needs. The capabilities developed shall be maintained to remain relevant and current.

A Day in The Life Could Include:

·Designing, developing, and shipping new application modules, custom applications, workflows, and catalog requests in the ServiceNow platform

·Identifying system deficiencies and recommending innovative solutions

·Leveraging modern technologies such as cloud capabilities from various platforms to provide efficient solutions

·Developing modern API based integrations with other applications outside of ServiceNow

·Resolving ServiceNow-related incidents and services requests within SLAs

·Researching new solutions in the ServiceNow space to create value.

·Sharing knowledge appropriately for support and continual development purposes.

·Be an engaged member of a team utilizing SCRUM methodology.

·Actively participating in code reviews and design discussions.

·Reusing and scaling components to accommodate future growth and eliminate waste.

·Continually innovating to increase business productivity and eliminate inefficiencies.

What You Will Need to Bring with You:

(experience & education required)

·Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field.

·Experience 3 to 8 years of ServiceNow core development experience including web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with up to maximum 8 years of total IT experience.

·Demonstrated proficiency with the ServiceNow Glide stack (Glide System, Record, Form).

What Will Put You Ahead:

(experience & education preferred)

·Experience contributing to a highly collaborative Product Team, utilizing SCRUM/Agile methodology.

·Previous experience with ITSM Implementation, developing Chat bots, Service portal, Automations and ITOM suites (CMDB, Discovery, Service & Event Mapping).

·Proficiency with Orchestration module and interactions with MID Servers.

·Knowledge of the Automated Testing Framework.

·Experience developing cloud-based applications (i.e., Amazon Web Services, Azure, etc.)

·Demonstrated experience with REST and SOAP Web Services and APIs.

·Experience leveraging Integration Platform.

Demonstrated experience with AngularJS, Node.js, JSON, c#, PowerShell, and serverless architecture.
