Optimized Process Designs, LLC in Katy, TX has an opening for a temporary Maintenance Helper. The schedule for this position is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as required.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Maintain indoor lighting, service general household maintenance including painting indoor walls and trim, repairing doors and windows, hanging signs, light plumbing including commercial sinks and toilets
  • Maintain grounds appearance at all times: pick up trash, operate push mower, weed eater, and pressure washer
  • Seasonal outdoor projects such as gutter clean out & window washing
  • Help distribute and stock housekeeping supplies throughout the property
  • Work on various projects as assigned, indoors and outdoors
  • Perform and check preventative maintenance items throughout the property
  • Participate in strong safety culture including identifying hazards and attending mandatory safety meetings

Physical requirements:

  • Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions typical of Southeast Texas including extreme heat and humidity.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day
  • Be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Be able to climb a ladder with harness at least 10’ off ground. Be able to work at high elevations (man lift) or on the roof.
  • Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching and bending on a regular basis.
  • Must have good hand eye coordination.
  • Use hands to handle, control and feel objects and/or tools.

  • 1+ years working in general building maintenance responsible for light plumbing and painting

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years working in general building maintenance 
  • Previous experience as a maintenance lead
  • Past experience working independently with minimal supervision
