What You Will Do In Your Role

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing a group of Product Managers in Asia. Drive and execute strategies and tactics driven by the BU/divisional objectives. The Director of Marketing ensures that the product and marketing efforts are tailored to support Molex’s overall profitable growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.

Define and manage PM’s business and strategic plans aligned with the CSBU objectives.

2.

Increase revenue and market share of assigned product segments in the Taiwan ODM market

3.

Improve profit of assigned product line(s). Leads cost reduction activities, new technologies and quality improvements.

4.

Drive and execute strategic improvements that enhance customer experience.

5.

Drive and execute global initiatives aligning resources to support the activity.

6.

Manages new product development activity and commercialized products associated with the assigned portfolio driving print position with key customers

7.

Identifies opportunities to establish and develop industry partner relationships & drive key customer front facing activities

9.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SCOPE:

  • High degree of responsibility on numeric metrics such as revenue, P/L and ROI. This level of responsibility will affect the performance of CSBU and in some cases globally.
  • The Director of Marketing has full responsibility and empowerment for decisions within the assigned product lines.
  • Works independently reporting the activity and results are reviewed on an agreed basis with supervisor.
  • This position has a global reach, working with internal teams and OEM /ODM sales teams and direct with the customer globally.
  • Marketing management involve creative thinking, problem solving skills and organization.
  • Travel to customers as needed.


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

EDUCATION: 

REQUIRED: •Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering. 

PREFERRED: •Master degree 

WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: 

  • 10+ Years of experience preferably within the connector and electronics industry.
  • Experience in product marketing and/or sales management. 
  • Experience in developing, executing and managing product portfolios. 
  • English speaking 
  • Track Record of Closing New Opportunities 

PREFERRED: 

  • Technical background (electrical or mechanical). 
  • Managing Resources

PREFERRED: 

  • Experience in negotiating and working with contract manufacturers and electronics market OEM’s.
