 Koch Fertilizer Dodge City, LLC is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team in Dodge City, KS. Koch Fertilizer is an entrepreneurial company pursuing a self-motivated candidate to be a part of the plant production team with specific focus on process reliability and optimization.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Monitoring process equipment 
  • Inspecting equipment, processing and collecting data 
  • Performing reliability based equipment care tasks 
  • Collecting samples and quality testing product 
  • Providing technical expertise to ensure optimized operations of the plant to safety produce, store, and ship product 
  • Completing safety focused check sheets and environmental data collection sheets 
  • Fostering a culture of personal and collective safety, accountability and environmental compliance 


    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    • Experience using a computer for programs such as Microsoft Office, computerized maintenance management system, etc. 
    • Valid driver's license 
    • High school diploma or GED 
    • Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role


    Physical Requirements: 


    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 
    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights exceeding 100 feet 
    • Must be able and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather 
    • Must be able to pass a pulmonary breathing test, wear a gas mask type respirator and full body coverage personal protective clothing and equipment, including a full chemical protective suit 
    • Must be able to pass a physical assessment test



      What Will Put You Ahead

      • Experience working in an ammonia, chemical, or refinery environment 
      • Experience with Yokogawa distributed control system 
      • Experience with water treatment, boiler operations, and basic mechanical equipment repair 
      • One (1) year or more experience in an industrial setting · Two-year degree in process technology, instrumentation, maintenance, or electronic
