Delivery Leader - Software Engineering

The Delivery Manager - Software Engineering will be a Supervisor for the Sentient Energy entity in India and a part of the global team supporting existing applications for Koch Industries. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the KGSI operations for Sentient over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant global exposure to the employees. This Leader will be responsible for overall development of the team and managing the Delivery across all their applications.

A Day In The Life Could Include:

(job responsibilities) 

·Lead, manage and represent the application development for Sentient

·End to end ownership and Accountability for the team’s delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet the defined requirements

·Planning, Hiring, Onboarding of the right resources for the requirements through different modes of hiring

·Plan and track the work schedule and resource utilization. Analyzing the needs and asks from business teams and planning the optimal utilization of human resources and infra.

·Coaching Mentoring the resources to deliver their best

·Define and Adopt best practice solutions to meet function, technical and business needs

·Create a culture of collaboration and self-actualization and transformation in team members.

·Motivating the team members by recognizing their contribution and on achievement of milestones.

·Working with functional and technical teams that are both India-based and US-based

·Completing key project work and support activities 

·Utilizing strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as good written and verbal communication skills to discuss requirements, support, status updates, etc. to audiences with varying levels of IT knowledge 

·Maintaining system support documentation and technical specifications, Identifying and implementing process improvements Technology:

What You Will Need To Bring With You: 

(experience & education required) 

·12+ years of IT experience, including Delivery and people management roles.

·5+ years of hands-on experience in the Development of applications across technology stacks

·5+ years of experience leading and managing a software engineering team

·Experience leveraging AGILE/DEVOPS practices

·Experience in building enterprise class web application software using Java/JEE Development including Spring framework

·Good understanding of RESTful API design principles.

·Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD).

·Challenging the status quo and focusing on long-term value when designing solutions 

Delivery:

·Experience leading and managing a team of 20+ team members for multiple engagements simultaneously

·Ability to work from loosely defined requirements

·Strong customer focus, communication, collaboration and problem solving skills

·Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability

·Critical thinking skills, self-starter and entrepreneurial thinking

·Ability to research and experiment with emerging technologies as part of solutioning process

·Experience working with system users to capture requirements, develop, and test solutions 

·Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies 

·Economic thinking 

·Analyzing the risks and forecasting the measurable parameters to mitigate the same

What Will Put You Ahead:

(experience & education preferred) 

·Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka

·Experience in data modeling, writing and tuning SQL and stored procedures for MySQL and SQL Server

·Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Envoy

·GraphQL

·Redis, TimescaleDB

·MQTT

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
