Quality Assurance Supervisor & Engineer

Phillips-Medisize is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor/Engineer to assist in establishing, implementing, maintaining and administering the quality requirements to meet customer expectations, through supervision of quality inspectors.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide direction and leadership to Quality Assurance staff; including establishing clear objectives, managing performance, effective communication, fostering a team environment, talent acquisition, career development, and addressing disciplinary issues
  • Provide direction to the metrology lab and calibration teams in collaboration with North America Regional manager.
  • Develop inspection processes, work instructions, GR&R studies for component parts and assemblies and train inspectors
  • Manage the MRB program and drive reduction in unnecessary scrap.
  • Assist in resolution of production problems by developing and conducting dimensional investigations of component parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate inspection resources to ensure completion of first article inspections and capability studies to support validation timelines
  • Coordinate laboratory/incoming inspection activities in order to ensure customer requirements and production demands are met daily
  • Ensure ISO and other regulatory standards are followed
  • Carry out, maintain and document discipline
  • Effectively work with all members of management and daily production staff
  • Support engineering projects as required.
  • Coordinate external Metrology needs as applicable
  • Work with management to establish quality goals and objectives
  • Participate in Advance Quality Planning, which may include Gage R&R, FMEAs and flow diagrams


The Experience You Will Bring


  • Associate's degree or higher in a technical / engineering field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Control in a regulated environment i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or related
  • Minimum of 3 years of management / supervisory experience
