Supply Chain Manager

Guardian Glass is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Supply Chain Manager. This position is located on site at a manufacturing plant based in Corsicana, TX, and is a key plant and functional leadership position, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. We aim to hire individuals who are highly self-motivated and energetic, ambitious, and career-oriented, flexible, confident, and competitive through teams and able to manage through influence.

The Corsicana Supply Chain Manager will lead plant supply chain activity and be responsible for a team warehousing and logistics. This role will be responsible to drive supply chain excellence and collaborate with local and regional leaders to apply proven practices that ensure continuous improvement and drive transformation. This role serves as a key member of the Corsicana site leadership team and must be able to work cross functionally to meet plant and business objectives. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with complex operations and logistics discussions related to managing a plant supply chain while keeping the customer at the center of our business processes.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Team –Leadership & Management
  • -Ensure your team is connected to the business vision and understands how they can create value.

    -Work with each employee to develop an individualized set of responsibilities and expectations based on the business vision, the individual’s role and capabilities.

    -Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help every employee leverage their strengths and develop areas of opportunity to maximize individual value creation.

    -As a member of the site leadership team, partner with other site capability leaders to define an aligned set of business priorities that optimize value creation.

    -Lead an effective process that connects each individual’s total compensation to their total contribution.

  • Supply Chain Capability Leadership
  • -Inventory Planning & Management

    o Support regional supply chain planning, based locally, to ensure adequate warehouse logistics in support of a successful Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

    o Lead the development of an inventory put-away plan that meets plant and regional customer service and working capital objectives.

    o Ensure continuous improvement of working capital health via optimized inventory turns, cycle counts, reduction of aged & obsolete stock and warehouse accuracy.

    -Logistics Management

    o Manage local third-party Logistics relationship to ensure achievement of cost and service objectives, proactively aligning business plans with shipping and dock logistics capabilities to drive efficient execution.

    o Partner with logistics partners, Koch capabilities, and local business leaders to ensure effective and efficient international product flows that meet legal requirements, optimize cost and create strategic value, when applicable.

    o Effectively manage rail receiving process to ensure optimization of asset (railcar, rail racks, etc.) flows in support of the regional network requirements

    -Project Management

    o Lead strategic business transformation projects.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Proven team and individual leader with a minimum of 3 to 5 years Supply Chain experience in a process manufacturing environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to create partnerships and build consensus across all levels of the organization.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to drive transformational change.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess opportunities and lead the team in identification & development of the supply chain alternatives that maximize value creation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed; typically, 10-15% of the time.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering/Operations preferred
